Phil is Spark Power's General Counsel. Phil has almost 20 years of experience as a practising lawyer with a focus on corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience in the energy, power services, and renewable energy sectors. He has been providing Spark Power legal services since its inception.

Phil began his legal career in the business law group of a leading Bay Street law firm in Toronto. He served as legal counsel to a leading Canadian bank advising its investment banking group, as general counsel to publicly traded real estate investment trust and as principal of law firm.

He has extensive legal experience in general corporate matters, engineering, construction and procurement contracting, corporate finance and securities law, including public company securities law, debt financing, mergers and acquisition and transactional work.

Phil Lefko has experience both as in-house counsel and external counsel to private and public companies. Phil is member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
